Hand from yesterday

Today after going through PT I came across a hand which I played while steaming heavily. I think they way I played the hand against this Villain was ok as he was a 45/5/200 hands and calls with a wide range of hands I beat.

But it got me thinking If this hand was being played against a reg who was a solid tag.

I think shoving the river here against a solid reg is terrible as I am only getting called with better hands.

So the best plan of action here is to:

A: Bet fold to shove

B: check and hope reg checks behind

C: Check and Fold

What do you guys think?

Ughhhhh!!!

Today was absolutely terrible and I am extremely angry at my self for Tilting. I just completely lost it.

I think im done playing till Friday, and just use these next couple of days to regain focus, study more on my game and contribute to the Cardrunners LL Community.

Day 1 and 2 Recap

Hi. Well thats me two days into the month of july and things poker wise have been meh. I feel that I should stop trying to play a 21/18 game and tighten up more, as I dont really feel it is profitable to like that at 50nl.

July Goals

So I am back playing poker again after a long break, which was nice. I decided to stop playing mid may as I was running terrible and playing equally terrible. But now I am back and cannot wait to stick my teeth into this CR LL study group.

Previously before my rough couple of months of poker I was a winning 200NL and 100nl player, but lack of concentration and taking my game further had serious affect on my game. I used to play a great 24/20 game and when I lost my confidence I tightened up severley to a nitty 16/14. And I hope with this group I can regain my confidence and get back nearer to the stats I once played.

My Goals for the month as follows:

~ 30k hands at 50nl and not higher

~ Limit to 4 tables or less, for maximum concentration.

~ Get my stats up to 21/18, or in the region close.

~ Help people with there Hand Histories

~ At least one live sweat a week

~ Learn new things and apply it to my game.


Im also interested in setting up a small group of about 5 or 6 players to discuss and further each others games. If your interested PM on CR or leave a comment.

Day 1

OmgOmg blog tilt. Had a big post ready then decided to check If my pokerhand links worked, they did then clicked back and the whole post was gone arghhhhhhhhhhhh.

Ok rant over

So today I decided to fire a grand on PS to start up a new online roll today. Since Ive not played since the start om may im a bit rusty so I had a short session 3 tabling 50nl. I will be staying at 50 nl till i get 30,000 hands under my belt then proceed to nl100.

Since i only played 200 hands or so I dont have many troublsome spots to post but heres a couple that happened.

I think i played this hand OK, but now i feel i should have bet the turn. But at the time i decided to check behind for control as I wasnt really sure where I stood.

I think PF and flop is standard. But I think the turn Is bad and I really should have double barelled. As for the river I cannot decide if this is a spew or standard, since i checkd turn and river I feel i have induced a bluff from him.


Hand 4 is just basically a bad beat welcome back from stars.
